Penningmeester Federation of Music Conferences (FoMC)

FoMC is een in Nederland gevestigde stichting waarin een groeiend netwerk van toonaangevende muziekconferenties uit heel Europa samenwerkt. De aangesloten conferenties vormen het hart van de Europese muziekindustrie: de plekken waar professionals elkaar ontmoeten, kennis delen en samen bouwen aan de toekomst van muziek. Nu de organisatie verder groeit, willen we het bestuur uitbreiden met een penningmeester die helpt een solide financiële basis voor de toekomst neer te zetten.

De functie

Als penningmeester ben je verantwoordelijk voor het financiële toezicht op de stichting. Samen met voorzitter Robert Meijerink en in nauwe samenwerking met uitvoerend voorzitter Leonardo Lupelli geef je richting aan de verdere ontwikkeling van FoMC. De tijdsbesteding bedraagt gemiddeld ongeveer 2 uur per week en bestaat onder meer uit:

het opzetten en bewaken van een passende financiële organisatie;
toezicht houden op de financiële administratie;
meedenken over begroting, jaarrekening en financiële rapportages;
deelnemen aan bestuurs- en stakeholderoverleggen.

Omdat FoMC zich verder ontwikkelt, is er volop ruimte om deze rol mede vorm te geven.

Wie zoeken wij?

We zoeken iemand die:

ervaring heeft met financiën, accountancy of het penningmeesterschap;
het leuk vindt om mee te bouwen aan een groeiende organisatie;
zich thuis voelt in een internationale omgeving;
affiniteit heeft met goed bestuur en financiële zorgvuldigheid;
bij voorkeur in Nederland woont, vanwege de Nederlandse vestigingsplaats van de stichting.
Affiniteit met muziek, cultuur of de creatieve sector is een pre, maar geen vereiste.

Vacancy – Treasurer (voluntary) – Federation of Music Conferences (FoMC)

The Federation of Music Conferences (FoMC) is looking for a Treasurer to join its Board. FoMC is a Dutch-based non-profit foundation that brings together a growing network of leading music conferences from across Europe. Our members represent the places where the international music industry meets, exchanges knowledge and shapes the future of music. As the network continues to grow, we are looking for a Treasurer who wants to help build a solid financial foundation for the organisation.

About the role

As Treasurer, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the foundation. Together with the Chair, Robert Meijerink, and in close collaboration with Executive Chair Leonardo Lupelli, you will help shape the next phase of FoMC’s development. The role requires approximately 2 hours per week on average and includes:

overseeing the financial administration of the foundation;
helping establish and maintain a transparent financial structure and reporting process;
monitoring the annual budget and financial position;
preparing financial reports and supporting the annual accounts;
participating in Board meetings and stakeholder meetings.

As FoMC continues to develop, there is room to shape this role together.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

has experience with finance, accounting or treasury (professional or voluntary);
enjoys helping organisations grow sustainably;
is comfortable working in an international environment;
has good organisational skills and an eye for governance;
preferably lives in the Netherlands, as the foundation is legally established there.
Affinity with music, culture or the creative industries is highly appreciated, but not required.
